As we continue to grow and evolve our portfolio, we are looking for a m anager to join our Capital Investments & Transactions team, helping to drive our strategic growth agenda through global M&A and partnership opportunities.
You will be at the forefront of IHG’s growth strategy, supporting a wide range of high-impact initiatives, including brand acquisitions, portfolio reviews, strategic partnerships and other growth initiatives. Working cross-functionally with global teams and external advisors, you’ll help shape the future of IHG\’s global portfolio.
What you’ll do:
Drive Strategic Investments: Support sourcing, analysis, and execution of global M&A and capital investment opportunities.
Market Analysis: Leverage internal and external databases to conduct detailed market research and competitive benchmarking.
Financial Modelling: Build and interpret sophisticated financial models (NPV, IRR, DCF) to assess investment viability.
Due Diligence: Participate in and coordinate due diligence activities across cross-functional teams.
Strategic Communication: Prepare Executive Committee and Board-level presentations, capital papers, and internal briefing materials for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Impact: Project manage and collaborate with Development, Strategy, Finance, Brand, Technology and Operations teams on key expansion initiatives.
Industry Network: Develop and maintain relationships with investors, investment bankers, developers, brokers and other consultants involved in the hospitality industry.
What you\’ll bring:
A degree or equivalent, in Business, Finance, Strategy, or related field or relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, CFA).
3 to 5+ years of work experience in M&A, corporate finance, or valuation, ideally from investment banking, Big 4 Transaction Services, or a similar.
Deep understanding of corporate finance and investment evaluation techniques.
Advanced Excel modelling and strong PowerPoint storytelling skills.
Experience reviewing financial statements and transactional documentation.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required.
