The Manchester Deansgate Hotel is on the lookout for a dynamic Maintenance Engineer. The Manchester Deansgate Hotel (MANDG), 303 Deansgate, M3 4LQ. Welcome to the Manchester Deansgate Hotel, where modern luxury travel meets the vibrant spirit of Manchester. The hotel is located in Beetham Tower and features 279 rooms with skyline views, Cloud 23 sky bar, Podium Restaurant, an indoor pool, and a fitness centre. It offers 14 meeting rooms and over 1,800 square feet of event space, with a transition to the InterContinental brand by 2027 to enhance luxury and service.
Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Engineer (Full-Time) your main duties are to support the overall guest experience by ensuring facilities are maintained to the highest standard; respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance queries; be knowledgeable about Health and Safety regulations; carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks; ensure all areas of the hotel remain safe, functional and welcoming; and go above and beyond to ensure guests leave with a smile.
Qualifications
- Availability to work 39 hours per week across 5 shifts, including weekends (weekend availability essential)
- Experience working in a maintenance or engineering role (ideally within a hotel environment)
- Relevant qualifications or trade skills in electrical, mechanical, or general maintenance (essential)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, confident in maintaining a safe and compliant environment
- Drive to produce results and work collaboratively to provide guests with personal experiences and human connection
- A warm and authentic personality with a can-do attitude and commitment to service
- Willingness to work within the team to embrace our service and delight our guests
