Join the excitement and become part of the team at Canary Riverside Plaza London, Vignette Collection by IHG - a landmark addition to the capital’s luxury lifestyle scene. Joining the IHG portfolio in Summer 2026 as Canary Riverside Plaza London, Vignette Collection - this exciting new chapter marks the brand’s first property in London. Set in the heart of Canary Wharf with stunning views across the River Thames and London skyline, the hotel features 142 luxurious guestrooms and suites, stylish dining spaces, meeting and events facilities and access to a luxury health club, spa and pool. As part of Vignette Collection, the hotel blends luxury hospitality with authentic, experiential and considerate travel while celebrating individuality, locality and meaningful guest experiences in one of London’s most dynamic destinations.

This is not a typical Executive Housekeeper opportunity! As the hotel prepares to transition into Canary Riverside Plaza London, Vignette Collection, we are looking for a confident, hands‑on leader who is excited by transformation, comfortable taking ownership and ready to help shape standards, culture and ways of working during a significant brand journey.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Housekeeping department through an important period of change as the hotel transitions into the Vignette Collection brand, setting clear standards and bringing structure, pace and consistency to the operation.
  • Taking ownership of guestrooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces to ensure they reflect luxury brand expectations, with a strong focus on presentation, cleanliness, safety and attention to detail.
  • Building, developing and motivating a high‑performing housekeeping team through recruitment, training, coaching and clear day‑to‑day leadership.
  • Working closely with the Rooms Division Manager and wider leadership team to embed new ways of working, improve standards and support a seamless guest experience.
  • Managing departmental budgets, labour costs, inventory and supplier relationships while balancing operational demands with the needs of a hotel in transition.
  • Using guest feedback, cleanliness scores and quality audits to identify priorities, drive improvements and maintain momentum against brand expectations.

Qualifications

  • We are searching for someone who is passionate about people, thrives on delivering authentic service and takes pride in creating thoughtful guest experiences.
  • Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager or senior housekeeping leader within a quality hotel environment, ideally with exposure to openings, rebrands, refurbishments or periods of operational change.
  • The confidence and resilience to step into the operation, assess what needs attention and create clear priorities without losing sight of the guest and colleague experience.
  • A proven track record of raising standards, improving processes and delivering strong cleanliness, quality and guest satisfaction results.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to bring teams with you, set expectations and create accountability in a supportive and motivating way.
  • Sound financial and commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, labour management and supplier control.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to stay calm, organised and positive when priorities change quickly.
