From learning strategy to performance culture, we’re looking for a strategic, creative Global Corporate Learning & Development Manager to define and evolve our global corporate learning offer. In this role, you’ll shape the concept, content, and intent of our learning portfolio - building critical capability in our people leaders and directly enabling a high-performance culture. Working closely with regional L&D teams, HR and talent partners, you’ll turn business and capability priorities into impactful, scalable learning solutions that land across regions and cultures.
This is a role for someone who can think big, connect the dots, and translate strategy into learning that genuinely changes behaviour and drives the IHG high-performance culture.
What you will do day-to-day:
- Shape and continuously evolve the global corporate learning offer to meet current and emerging capability needs.
- Define clear learning concepts, themes, and outcomes aligned to business strategy and talent priorities.
- Partner with regional L&D, HR and talent teams to identify priority learning needs.
- Enable co-creation and feedback to ensure solutions reflect real-world challenges.
- Ensure clarity on learning objectives, audiences, success measures, and learner experience.
- Craft a compelling, easy-to-navigate narrative for the corporate learning offer.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality materials and channels to promote and distribute learning globally.
- Track uptake and effectiveness, using insight and data to continuously improve impact.
- Stay close to L&D trends, technology, and best practice to keep the offer relevant and future-focused.
Key skills & experience you’ll bring:
- Significant experience in learning and development within a corporate, matrixed environment.
- Experience of building a centralised, large-scale learning strategies within a corporate environment.
- Proven experience working closely with HR and Talent functions, translating talent priorities into strategic learning solutions.
- Experience partnering with instructional designers and external vendors.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, operating confidently across cultures and geographies.
- Clear communication and storytelling ability, articulating the value of learning initiatives.
- Familiarity with learning technologies and platforms to enable scale and accessibility.
- Strong analytical skills, assessing effectiveness and learning ROI.
- Practical, outcomes-focused mindset with a strong 80/20 approach.
- Curious, externally minded, and committed to continuous learning.
