At voco Grand Central Hotel, we are looking for our next Floor & Bar Supervisor to join us in creating a warm voco welcome for our guests in the Central Champagne Bar. Our locally curated voco Grand Central stands strong in Glasgow’s city centre, bringing together un-stuffy service and a warm Glasgow welcome to our business and leisure guests alike. Holding the biggest ballroom in Scotland with natural light and our iconic award-winning Champagne Central Bar, our Hotel is full of over 140 years of culture, history, and storytelling with our relaxing spaces for guests to enjoy.
Are you a natural host with strong leadership skills and a love for hospitality? We’re looking for someone who can own the floor, lead a team, jump on the bar using their mixology skills to create amazing cocktails and bring great energy to every shift.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a smooth and efficient floor and bar service in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
- Set the tone, greet guests, create a warm atmosphere, and deliver top-tier service.
- Motivate and support a large team, lead by example, always.
- Keep the energy high and the service seamless.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has solid experience of team leadership in a busy bar or restaurant within a 4 or 5* hotel.
- Has availability to work 5 shifts per week including weekends and bank holidays (evening availability is essential).
- Communicates clearly and confidently under pressure and can motivate the team if the going gets tough.
- Thrives in a fast-paced setting and keeps things running like clockwork.
- Has extensive knowledge of cocktails and keeps up to date with the latest trends.
- Loves people and knows how to make guests feel welcome and looked after ensuring they are having a uniquely personal experience.
- Has a flexible approach to shifts and is willing to learn new things and work as part of our wider Hotel team.
