When one of our talented colleagues moves into an exciting new role within IHG, it creates the perfect opportunity for a storyteller, strategist, and creative thinker to join our team as a Development Communications & Events Manager for Europe, based in our global HQ in Windsor, UK.
You’ll be at the heart of bringing our brand to life for owners, investors, and partners through compelling communications and unforgettable experiences. Your work will help strengthen relationships, drive visibility, and support our development team in signing new hotels and retaining existing ones. What you’ll do:
- Lead Events with Impact – Conceptualise, plan, and deliver experiences that not only impress but tell the IHG story in every detail. From signing ceremonies to strategic launch events, you’ll ensure our brand shines at every moment.
- Industry Partnerships & Sponsorships – Act as the point of contact and lead negotiator for key industry conference sponsorships and partnerships, ensuring maximum brand visibility and ROI across all associated channels.
- Storytelling & Content Creation – Craft narratives that highlight IHG’s growth, vision, and leadership. Develop engaging content for presentations, campaigns, digital channels, and event collateral that resonates with owners and investors alike.
- Promotion & Communications Strategy – Design and implement creative campaigns that amplify our messages and elevate our presence across all channels, including social media, digital and internal communications.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment – Serve as the central point of contact for the EUR Development team, ensuring all communications are consistent, timely, and impactful. Build trusted relationships with internal teams and external partners to deliver cohesive, high‑quality messaging.
- Team Leadership & Development – Manage and develop a small team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster growth, creativity, and high performance.
- On‑Site Excellence – Bring events to life with seamless execution and a focus on storytelling, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the IHG brand and leaves a lasting impression.
- Insight & Continuous Improvement – Evaluate the success of events and campaigns, applying insights and feedback to refine strategies and deliver ever‑greater impact.
- Vendor & Budget Management – Partner with suppliers to secure the best services and experiences while managing budgets effectively.
What you’ll bring:
- Confident communication with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives.

- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing sponsorships or large‑scale partnerships
- Proven experience in corporate communications, PR, or events.
