Ready to kick-start your communications career with one of the world's leading hospitality companies?
We're looking for a Corporate Communications Executive to join our Europe Corporate Affairs team at IHG's Global Headquarters in Windsor.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants broad, hands-on experience across corporate communications, media relations, internal communications, issues and crisis and events.
You'll work alongside experienced communications professionals, support senior leaders and help tell the stories that shape how IHG is seen by employees, hotel owners, partners, media and external stakeholders across Europe.
No two days are the same.
One day you could be helping to brief a spokesperson ahead of a media interview, the next supporting a major company event, creating content for a leadership channel, or working with agencies across multiple European markets to secure top tier coverage and build the reputation of IHG.
You’ll gain valuable exposure to IHG as a global business with more than one million hotel rooms worldwide, while also getting close to our Europe region, which spans more than 40 countries and nearly 1,000 open hotels.
It’s a brilliant opportunity to build the skills and experience to accelerate your communications career.
If you're curious, proactive and ready to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Support the planning and delivery of communications programmes and campaigns across Europe.
- Create engaging content including leadership communications, press releases, newsletters, articles and social media content.
- Help manage media enquiries, support with issues and crisis comms, journalist requests, media events and agency activity across European markets.
- Support internal events, town halls and communications for corporate, hotel and General Manager audiences.
- Track communications activity and measure the impact of campaigns across internal and external channels.
- What You'll Bring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take ownership.
- Confidence building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Interest in corporate communications, media relations and storytelling.
- Ideal Experience
- 1-2 years' experience in communications, public relations or corporate affairs, ideally in an agency.
- Experience creating content for different audiences and channels.
- Exposure to media relations, agency management or event support.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Experience using digital and social media platforms.
At IHG, you'll be part of a global business with some of the world's most recognised hotel brands.
You'll work alongside experienced communications professionals, build an international network and gain exposure to high-profile projects from the start of your career.
This is a role where you'll learn quickly, develop new skills, take accountability, and make a real impact.
