As our Assistant Food & Beverage Service Manager, you will support the Food & Beverage Service Manager with the effective and efficient running of the hotel food and beverage teams, provide hands-on operational support, handle rotas & supervise shifts. You will form part of our leadership team and work closely with the F&B Manager to ensure the guest experience is personalised and always exceeds expectations. You will also act as deputy during the F&B Service Manager’s absence, ensuring team management, rota completion, and service standards are maintained.
Working as an Assistant Food & Beverage Service Manager you will ensure all team members are trained to a high standard, manage rotas and work a variety of shifts including Days, Evenings and Weekends (including bank holidays).
Responsibilities- Support the Food & Beverage Service Manager in delivering a high-quality guest experience across all F&B outlets.
- Supervise the daily operations of our restaurant, bar, and event spaces.
- Lead and motivate the F&B team to deliver exceptional service and maintain brand standards.
- Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and cost control to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Take ownership of team engagement, training, and performance development.
- F&B team leadership experience for 2+ years in a property of similar size & standard.
- Adaptability – you will perform a variety of activities as needed across all food and beverage departments.
- Strong organisational skills & good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Knowledge of appropriate F&B systems to support operational processes, table reservation management system, Micros Simphony (or relevant POS) and dimensions.
- To be Guest-focused with an eye for detail in service quality.
