Job Purpose
Intercontinental Exchange Data Services (ICE Data Services) is expanding its global sales organization and looking for high caliber sales professionals to join its growing team. The main function of this role will be selling Connectivity services
The Connectivity Sales Executive is a sales hunter who targets the buyers of DMA, hosting, and connectivity solutions to participants in financial markets. The role comes with a remit to expand ICE's Connectivity business through new logo sales and expansion. Also, the Sales Executive will work with existing Account Managers and other IDS Sales Executives to identify opportunities for upsell of Connectivity solutions within the existing ICE Data Services account base.
The role holder is expected to be a content and technical expert in ICE Data Services' Connectivity solutions and also have a comprehensive understanding of customer use cases and the real-time and low latency business in general (Know Your Customer"). Client meetings, presentations, and preparation of RFP/RFI responses will all be an integral part of the role, as well as interacting with customers, internal business partners, and pre-sales on detailed aspects of the solution design.
This role is suited for a self-motivated individual who relishes being at the forefront of business activities and thrives on their own successes and those of the team. A strong communicator with a solid technical background and good knowledge of the market data and trading environment from a content, technology and networking perspective is required. We seek an aggressive hunter with polished sales, pipeline management, territory management and closing skills who is adept at challenger sales and who is highly motivated with the ability to think on their feet, from both a business and technical perspective
Responsibilities
- Exceed sales quota
- Manage territory and work closely with colleagues to identify and close new opportunities
- Manage and develop strong client relationships
- Work closely with the product and business team to provide feedback on any client, prospect or partner requirements
- CRM and pipeline management
Knowledge and Experience
- 5+ years sales experience with a focus on financial markets (specifically real time data and trading) and ability to consistently exceed individual sales quota
- Knowledge of the financial markets and trading ecosystem including, compliance, risk and post trade uses cases
- Intimate knowledge of the systems which consume real time data and support institutional trading
- Adept at the challenger sales model
- Strong presentation skills
- Competent CRM-Salesforce skills
- Proficient in pipeline management and forecasting
- Solid negotiation skills
- Track record of high close ratio
- Previous experience working within a data/software vendor, Exchange, or trading firm
