Overview
In this role you contribute to the ICE Digital Trade Platform (IDT), a cloud-based system that digitizes and automates global trade processes.
You will ensure quality and reliability through test automation, API-focused testing, client onboarding support, and production monitoring, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You’ll explore AI-driven QA approaches to improve coverage and efficiency and integrate them into CI/CD workflows.
The position offers impact by shaping testing strategies for a scalable, API-rich platform and close partnership with PMs, developers, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and database schemas
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing (APIs)
- Write and execute SQL for data validation
- Use CI/CD, Git, and automation frameworks
- Respond to client API queries and support onboarding
- Log defects and coordinate client-side testing
- Contribute to internal monitoring tools and scripting
- Maintain awareness of environment changes and deployments
- Collaborate with QA leads on complex testing strategies
- Develop and deliver test plans and summaries
- Leverage AI coding assistants and agentic AI workflows to accelerate test authoring and defect analysis
- Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in QA with test planning and automation
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML
- Proficient in JIRA, Postman, Ready API, or JMeter
- Experience with SDLC, QA methodologies, and scripting (Python)
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, ALM, and test automation frameworks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
- Understanding of AI/ML-based testing tools and CI/CD integration
- Hands-on experience with Claude (incl. Claude Code) and Git Hub Copilot for test code generation
