Overview

In this role, you will support senior risk managers in shaping risk practice at a leading futures and options clearing house.

You’ll work across multiple asset classes on challenging risk problems and help enhance risk tools, models, and processes.

You will participate in new risk initiatives and ensure alignment with policies and regulatory standards.

This position offers exposure to cross‑functional teams and a meaningful impact on risk governance and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and enhance quantitative risk models through mathematical and statistical analysis
  • Ensure adherence to risk policies and regulatory standards
  • Identify gaps in models, processes, or infrastructure and propose improvements
  • Improve documentation of risk processes, procedures and models
  • Develop risk reports for boards, risk committees, and regulators
  • Monitor model performance and assess model suitability to support policy adherence
  • Collaborate on policy and methodology development with colleagues
  • Conduct project work and market research on risk topics
  • Key requirements
  • Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or other equivalent degrees
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in risk management (internship or professional) in finance, hedge funds, banks, or clearing houses
  • Strong knowledge of financial derivatives across asset classes
  • Experience with risk management models such as Va R, liquidity risk, backtesting and stress testing (advantageous)
  • Team player who can collaborate across teams
  • Research, problem analysis, and solution implementation skills
  • Experience with SQL and Python
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
