Job DescriptionJob PurposeIntercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) presents a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and business challenges in the financial sector. The Engineer role within the ICE Network Engineering team provides leadership in network design, validation, deployment, maintenance and 24x7 operational support.The successful candidate will work on further advancing one of the largest and global financial networks with a wide variety of critical services as well as help drive large scale office refreshes and migrations. The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a dynamic team-based environment demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and the highest degree of professionalism.ResponsibilitiesDeploy, support and maintain mixed vendor network infrastructureDocument and publish standards and designsAssist ICE staff with problem solving and escalation proceduresUnderstand and follow operational policies/procedures and promote adherence to sameProvide technical knowledge needed to ensure safe, effective, and efficient changes to the network infrastructureCollaborate and work closely with all other IT teamsLead incident investigations, diagnosis, and service restoration and always give priority to the resolution of incidentsKnowledge and ExperienceIn depth knowledge of general network principles and technology, and how to apply them in a service-oriented mission critical environmentExtensive network routing protocols and troubleshooting skills in BGP and OSPFStrong Knowledge of NAT, route maps/ACLs, and routing policiesStrong knowledge of modern configuration management tools (Ansible, Jinja, JSON)Strong knowledge and experience developing in PythonProficient with GIT for software collaboration and version control5+ years’ experience hands on support and troubleshooting of production networks5+ years' experience with design and implementation on complex worksRunning and analyzing sniffer traces with deep TCP/IP protocol understandingBasic Unix/Linux system administrationExcellent communication and documentation skillsExcellent customer service attitudeAbility to operate effectively and professionally under pressurePreferred SkillsBachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering or related fieldExperience working with wireless technologyExperience working with Firewalls and Load balancersExpert level network certificationsFirewall and Load Balancer advanced certificationIn-depth hardware knowledge of switches and routers: (Internal chipsets specifications, TCAM and memory details, buffering capabilities and multicast replication details)
