Job Description
Job Purpose
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting with the administration and management of ICE Clear Europe's regulatory relationships and in ensuring that ICE Clear Europe complies with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
The Compliance Analyst will also assist in the enhancement and implementation of ICE Clear Europe's risk-based Compliance Monitoring and Testing Programme. This will involve identifying relevant regulations; providing useful feedback into the maintenance of processes to prevent and detect gaps in compliance; monitoring systems of control that help to ensure compliance; aiding in the resolution of any gaps in compliance; and providing support in advising ICE Clear Europe on compliance issues that may arise from current and future plans.
The Compliance Analyst will have a basic working knowledge of regulation and corporate governance best practices, will be a professional of the highest standard and work diligently to complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of ICE Clear Europe. The Compliance Analyst will be comfortable communicating with colleagues across all levels of the ICE group and delivering difficult messages when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical, supervisory and administrative support as well as assisting with the engagement with appropriate stakeholders at national and supranational regulators in the UK, EU and US (among other jurisdictions), including tracking, monitoring and organisation of initiatives
- Work with colleagues across ICE Clear Europe's business to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legislative requirements
- Keep abreast of all relevant regulations in respect of regulated clearing activities in the UK, EU and US (among other jurisdictions)
- Assist with the review and implementation of regulatory change in ICEU's business
- Undertake thematic compliance risk evaluations and control monitoring/testing as part of ICE Clear Europe's Compliance Monitoring and Testing Programme (CMTP)
- Participate in the enhancement of the CMTP
- Provide timely advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements and related controls and procedures
- Manage the administration, collation and/or drafting of briefing notes, regulatory responses and reports relating to compliance with applicable requirements
- Work with colleagues across ICE Clear Europe's business to ensure regulatory developments are integrated/implemented into relevant documentation and processes
- Assess, review and enhance compliance processes to ensure they remain current and fit for purpose
- Manage and coordinate responses to periodic and ad hoc regulatory requests
- Assist with the administration of regulatory reports and submissions
- Manage discrete regulatory processes to delivery.
Knowledge and Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable compliance experience in the financial services space (e.g. clearinghouse, exchange, other market infrastructure provider, financial services provider or financial market participant)
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical and verbal/written communication skills
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
- Strong IT literacy skills
- Capable of managing and assisting with multiple business priorities at any one time
Desirable Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of clearinghouse operations and applicable regulatory standards is a plus
- CISI certification is advantageous
- Knowledge and experience in building End User Developed Applications (including in Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL etc.) is advantageous
