The role is responsible for the daily production and oversight of ICE Benchmark Administration Limited’s (IBA) benchmarks and market services. Data inputs are received from a wide range of sources – dealers, regulated trading venues, commodity traders and orders during online auctions. The integrity of the data needs to be verified and monitored to ensure timely publication of sensitive market information. A cool, logical head with the ability to work well under pressure, follow operating procedures and adhere to tight deadlines. A good understanding and interest in financial and commodity markets is helpful as the role will require interaction and support to external data providers and users of IBA’s services as well as internal development, surveillance and management teams. The successful candidate will also be required to work on analysing, designing and testing data-integrity checks, new system processes, procedures and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Operating IBA’s benchmark Precious Metals Auctions and market services platforms
  • Carrying out daily processes for ensuring smooth and timely production of IBA’s benchmarks
  • Following established standard operational procedures
  • Managing dependencies on critical third-party data and service providers
  • Reporting and data analysis of KPIs on system performance and usage statistics
  • Partnering with IBA’s technology and development resources to enhance and test IBA’s platforms
  • Reporting, escalation, analysis of operational incidents
  • Effective BCP testing and controls

Knowledge and Experience

  • Understanding of rate swaps, commodity trading and other financial market instruments
  • Operational experience gained in the financial industry
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, interacting effectively at all levels
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Methodical, quick thinker with excellent organisational skills
  • Technical ability to query and analyse data sets
  • Engages with AI-assisted tools and platforms introduced to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity
  • Knowledge and experience of complying with regulatory requirements is desirable
