Intercity is looking for a strategic, people-focused leader who can guide our NOC & SOC teams to deliver exceptional service, rock-solid reliability, and world-class security. If you’re passionate about developing teams, improving performance, and making a real impact across the business, this is a brilliant opportunity to lead two mission-critical functions in a supportive, ambitious environment.

You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Network Operations Centre and Security Operations Centre, ensuring our infrastructure is stable, secure, and always ahead of emerging threats. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, support, and grow our NOC & SOC teams.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing analysts, engineers, and leaders.
  • Foster continuous learning through coaching and structured training.
  • Inspire your teams, communicate clearly, and bring people together around shared goals.
  • Stay calm and confident in high-pressure or crisis scenarios.
  • Drive operational excellence by overseeing 24/7 monitoring to ensure strong network performance and quick issue resolution.
  • Lead security detection, escalation, and response processes to keep threats at bay.
  • Own incident and crisis management by building and refining SOC incident response playbooks.
  • Lead high-impact escalations with clarity and confidence.
  • Shape the future of our NOC & SOC by setting goals and aligning operational strategy with wider business priorities.
  • Manage team resources, budgets, and vendor relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and drive efficiency through automation.
  • Ensure all operations follow regulatory and internal compliance standards.
  • Produce clear, meaningful performance metrics (uptime, SLAs, MTTD/MTTR) for senior leadership.
  • Oversee the use and optimisation of SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and monitoring technologies.
  • Continuously improve workflows so the team can respond faster and smarter.
What We’re Looking For:

Your background & qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or similar.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP (highly advantageous).

Your experience:

  • 8–10+ years in network and security operations.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience leading both NOC and SOC teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge in networking: routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, cloud networks.
  • Deep understanding of SOC tools and processes (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS).
