Here at Intercept IP, we are offering a talented, creative and innovative UI/UX Designer, the unique opportunity to come on-board and work on projects from discovery through to delivery, for a pioneering software consultancy. At IIP, we build and develop bespoke solutions using agile methods and digital technologies by working with senior leaders to shape and form strategies and solutions.
You will be responsible for creating and improving the user experience for our clients, helping to shape the end solutions and products so that they are intuitive and designed with the end-user in mind. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in cutting edge R&D initiatives, attend events on behalf of the company and take part in training programmes designed to help you learn and grow, no matter the stage of your career.

Responsibilities
- You will be developing concepts from wireframes, through to creating clickable prototypes, resulting in a pixel perfect design.
- You will be working closely with developers and the product team to design products that are simple but great for the user, focusing on interaction and visual design.
- Set the direction for client engagements and lead discovery engagements design, plan and lead user research, design and usability testing activities.
- You will understand primary customer journeys and help build a clear picture of the customer to create leading edge designs.
- As a team member you will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be resourceful, forward thinking and committed.
- You will use the modern design and UX techniques to design simple and usable systems and products that create an excellent user experience.
- Help define the UX Design Process working alongside other disciplines.
- Ensure that applications and websites meet accessibility requirements.
- Distributing assets in the formats required by developers, to incorporate into the finished product.
Essential Skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software (Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Balsamiq or Axure).
- Demonstrated experience in applying user research techniques such as interviewing, contextual observation and surveys.
- Preferably have experience working in agile teams to deliver rapid prototypes/proof of concepts.
- Demonstrated experience creating key deliverables such as detailed user journeys, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and UI Design for complex systems, web and mobile applications.
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
- Portfolio of design projects.
- Understanding of UX concepts.
- Evaluate the quality of the user experience.
- Test, analyse and report results, and make recommendations to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and overall satisfaction of the user.
