Purpose Of The Role
The Proposition Analyst supports the development of our offering, driving informed, fact‑based decision‑making through business and market knowledge, data analytics, pricing modelling and research to match segment needs and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as SME on data and insight within the Proposition team, with deep understanding of customer dynamics and the product set.
- Use customer data, market trends, and competitor insight to support proposition and pricing development – identifying opportunities, quantifying financial and customer impacts.
- Lead recommendations on initiatives through to completion.
- Create, manage and optimise a robust, accessible data set for decision making.
- Act as lead liaison with third‑party market data providers, in‑house data teams and Finance to ensure foundations for decision‑making are documented and refreshed.
- Maintain first‑line risk/compliance defence by ensuring adherence to business processes that meet FCA rules and guidance.
- Make informed risk decisions and credibly debate and challenge management recommendations within the Risk Management Framework.
Requirements
- Strong experience in the D2C platform industry.
- Investment experience and understanding of markets, investor behaviour and instrument types.
- Background in data analytics and modelling to solve business problems.
- Technical skills in SAS and Snowflake.
- Ability to model, access, and optimise data sources.
- Experience working with third‑party research and data partners.
- Ability to extrapolate conclusions from large data sets and present clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- Deep understanding of commercial drivers and revenue sources within the business.
- Ability to work cross‑organisation, building key relationships.
- Resilient and resourceful.
- Knowledge of regulated environments and evidence of understanding FCA regulatory impacts.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
