Purpose of the role: As our Market Insights Lead, you will play a key role in shaping ii’s strategy by turning market information and data into actionable insights. Your work will help guide business decisions and strengthen our competitive positioning and offering.
Requirements
- Gather and consolidate data from multiple sources—website analytics, agency data, consumer insights, audience trends, competitive benchmarks, and market reports - creating a central knowledge hub
- Translate information into real actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and business opportunity
- Source, review, and summarise industry reports, making insights clear, relevant, and easy to share
- Build strong relationships across ii (Growth, Engagement, Brand, PR/Social, Proposition, and Data teams) to enhance collaboration and deepen insights
- Own the delivery of regular and ad-hoc insight reports, making them clear, actionable, and tailored to the audience
- Commission primary market research to enhance our understanding of key trends
- Manage relationships with external research agencies, ensuring seamless integration of market intelligence
- Be our eyes and ears on competitors - track what platforms, neo-brokers, and banks are doing: their pricing, offers, messaging, ads, and more. Make sure we always know how we compare.
- Stay plugged into the conversation - Keep up with what influencers like Boring Money and Money to the Masses are saying about us, plus Reddit and other key forums
- Look beyond our borders - Keep an eye on trends in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan—anywhere we can learn from. Bring fresh ideas and inspiration from global markets.
- Be an advocate insight decision-making across the business
- Collaborate on Post Campaign Analyses (PCAs) to evaluate marketing effectiveness
