The UK and International Corporate Action teams sit within the Asset Servicing area of Operations and Customer Services. Reporting to the Operations Manager - Corporate Actions, the role holder is under limited supervision and is responsible for executing the timely and accurate end-to-end processing of all Corporate Action and Dividend events that impact client security positions. Attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy are essential in this fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, high‑risk financial environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage own workload with high accuracy, ensuring timely escalation of risk events, breaches, and aged exceptions.
- Analyze and interpret incoming market announcements from data vendors, create events in the system and ensure compliance with CRS and MiFID requirements.
- Set up and distribute event notifications to customers and act on client elections accurately by acceptance deadline.
- Allocate corporate action entitlements to customer accounts accurately and timely, with correct book cost apportionment and post‑reconciliation tasks completed.
- Process dividends, including reconciliations.
- Adhere to regulations applicable to corporate actions, dividends, and CASS.
- Own the end‑to‑end process of cross‑border events to ensure final settlement in the resultant market/custodian, communicating with other market participants regarding timely settlement of market claims.
- Process IPO events, elections, entitlements, and VCT applications.
- Process proxy voting, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and create letters of representation so customers are correctly represented at proxy events.
- Liaise with external counterparties, agents, internal departments, and external correspondents as required.
- Interact daily with Customer Services to handle front‑office and customer queries efficiently, delivering a first‑class customer experience, including Secure Messaging and FOBOW.
- Maintain the first line of compliance defence by ensuring adherence to business processes and procedures designed to meet the regulatory standards set out in FCA rules and guidance, including CASS regulations, MiFID, CRS, and Consumer Duty.
- Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with ad‑hoc and scheduled projects as required.
- Assist with system testing as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
