Senior DevOps/Software Engineer

About Your Team: As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a member of the Enterprise Architecture organization and responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, and reliability of systems and applications. What will be your responsibilities within IBKR: Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and conduct proof-of-concept work on new technologies. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable build and release processes. Serve as an escalation contact for service incidents as part of an on-call rotation. Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Which skills are required: Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in computer science or other STEM-related field. 5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals. 5+ years of coding experience. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation). Excellent skills in problem-solving and communication, both verbal and written. To be successful in this position, you will have the following: Experience in a highly regulated industry such as health care or finance. Experience with agile methodologies. Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in application software development.
