About:
Due to the rapid growth and expansion of our business activities in various markets, we have the following full-time opening for an experienced, motivated, and technology-oriented individual for an Arabic Financial Translator (English to Arabic and vice versa). Interactive Brokers is an online broker offering trading access for experienced traders to products traded on 150 markets and exchanges worldwide. Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited (IBUK) is part of a global group of financial services companies with over $15 billion in equity capital and publicly traded under the symbol "IBKR."
Responsibilities:
- Translate various content, such as our websites, account application and management systems, trading platforms, etc.
- Translate client communication letters, bulletins, and announcements
- Plan and carry out research projects, including the extraction of terminology from texts and the use of a termbase
- Perform quality assurance on existing translations (proofread and edit)
- Document processing
Qualifications:
- Native Arabic speaker
- Proficient in English
- MA or BA degree in Translation or a related discipline
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiar with MS Office and knowledge of CAT tools
- Minimum three years of relevant experience with a financial institution or translating finance-related content
- Knowledge of basic accounting terms and calculations; familiarity with a broad range of securities
- Proven time-management and organisational skills
Personality:
Self-confident, open, flexible, and able to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
Location: 20 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 8AF
Working Hours: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday–Friday
