HGV Class 2 Driver with Hiab
Location: Surbiton, Surrey
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum
About the Role: We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with Hiab to join a well-established supplier of roofing and building materials. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Surbiton, Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery and Collection: Safely transport roofing materials and related products to and from customer and supplier sites, using both mechanical and manual loading/unloading methods.
- Site Clearance: Remove second-hand materials and rubbish from customer sites as required.
- Loading and Unloading: Handle loading and unloading of vehicles, including customer and supplier deliveries.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with any queries or requirements in a professional manner.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Carry out daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle, and ensure all statutory records are up-to-date.
Working Hours:
- Mon-Thurs: 07:30 - 16:30
- Fri: 07:00 - 16:00
- Saturdays: One Saturday on, one Saturday off – 07:30 - 10:30
Requirements:
- Essential: HGV Class 2 Licence, Valid Hiab Certification, Previous experience with a Hook or Grab (minimum 1 year preferred), Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach, Ability to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Desirable: Previous experience in the roofing or construction industry, Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a busy environment.
