Our client, a well-established and growing warehouse operation based in Dunstable, is currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor (Goods In / Operations) to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional with supervisory experience looking to step into a stable and structured leadership role within a busy logistics environment.

The Role

  • You will take responsibility for overseeing the Goods In function, ensuring inbound deliveries are processed efficiently, accurately and in line with operational standards.
  • You will also provide supervision and operational cover within pick and pack operations when required, supporting overall warehouse performance and productivity.
  • Reporting to the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards across safety, compliance and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the Goods In operation
  • Support operational cover within pick and pack
  • Plan and allocate daily workloads effectively
  • Manage Warehouse Operatives and Reach Truck Drivers
  • Monitor productivity, accuracy and team performance
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and MHE standards
  • Manage performance, attendance and conduct issues
  • Support investigations and formal HR processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers and internal departments
  • Provide flexibility to support other warehouse areas as required

Essential Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Experience handling performance and conduct matters
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and Health & Safety
  • Confident decision-making ability
  • Flexible approach to hours and duties

Desirable

  • Experience supervising pick and pack operations
  • Reach Truck licence or practical experience
  • WMS system exposure
  • Experience working within KPI-driven environments
