Interaction Education are pleased to be supporting one of our partner schools in the Milton Keynes area in their search for a teacher of French. This role is a contract position, running until the end of the academic year of 2025/2026. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong working history of teaching languages (particularly French) at a secondary level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging French lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress to ensure academic success.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
- Prepare students for examinations (GCSE and potentially A-Level) and support their personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the French curriculum.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or cultural events, to promote the learning of French.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and welfare.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in French, Modern Languages, or a related field.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Previous experience teaching French at the secondary level (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of French language and culture.
- Ability to teach French to GCSE level, with the potential for A-Level teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
