HGV Class 2 Driver with Hiab

Location: Surbiton, Surrey

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with Hiab to join a well-established supplier of roofing and building materials. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Surbiton, Surrey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and Collection: Safely transport roofing materials and related products to and from customer and supplier sites, using both mechanical and manual loading/unloading methods.
  • Site Clearance: Remove second-hand materials and rubbish from customer sites as required.
  • Loading and Unloading: Handle loading and unloading of vehicles, including customer and supplier deliveries.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with any queries or requirements in a professional manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Carry out daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle, and ensure all statutory records are up-to-date.

Working Hours:

Mon-Thurs: 07:30 - 16:30
Fri: 07:00 - 16:00
Saturdays: One Saturday on, one Saturday off – 07:30 - 10:30

Requirements:

Essential:

  • HGV Class 2 Licence
  • Valid Hiab Certification
  • Previous experience with a Hook or Grab (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to comply with health and safety regulations

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in the roofing or construction industry
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a busy environment
