Location: Various sites across London – North/West/ up to Oxford

We are currently recruiting Canteen Workers to join our friendly and supportive catering teams within local schools and universities. These roles are available on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates. Start dates available throughout the term.

Pay: Competitive hourly rates (dependent on site)
Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing temporary with permanent opportunities

About the Role

As a Canteen Worker, you\’ll play an important part in delivering nutritious meals and providing excellent service to students and staff. You\’ll be working in a fast-paced catering environment, helping with food preparation, serving customers, and ensuring the canteen runs smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving hot and cold food to students and staff

• Assisting kitchen teams with basic food preparation

• Supporting meal service and maintaining efficient food flow

• Operating food service equipment safely

• Ensuring the canteen and kitchen areas remain clean, hygienic, and well-organised

• Adhering to food safety regulations and school/university policies

• Providing friendly, polite, and professional customer service

Requirements

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service

• A food hygiene certificate or catering qualification is highly desirable

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Physically able to handle regular standing and light lifting tasks

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards

• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
