We're recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer on behalf of a well-established facilities management and building services contractor operating across London and the South East.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience working with Air Conditioning or HVAC systems and hold a City & Guilds Category 1 F-Gas qualification.
Our client delivers planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, installations, and project works across a diverse portfolio of commercial and public sector environments.
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 Fuel Card / Company Van / Overtime Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a variety of commercial air conditioning and HVAC systems.
Diagnose and repair faults on split systems, multi-split units, VRF/VRV systems, ventilation equipment, and associated plant.
Attend reactive maintenance call-outs and emergency breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
Complete installation, commissioning, and testing of new air conditioning systems as part of refurbishment and project works.
Conduct refrigerant leak detection, recovery, charging, and handling in accordance with current F-Gas regulations.
Perform routine inspections and system performance checks to maximise efficiency and reliability.
Work across a diverse client base including commercial offices, educational facilities, healthcare environments, industrial sites, residential developments, and public sector properties.
Accurately complete service reports, compliance documentation, and maintenance records.
Liaise professionally with site managers, facilities teams, subcontractors, and end users.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle to a professional standard.
Minimum 2 years' experience working with Air Conditioning or HVAC systems.
City & Guilds Category 1 F-Gas qualification.
Experience carrying out maintenance and repair work within commercial environments.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Experience with ventilation systems and associated mechanical building services.
Additional HVAC or mechanical qualifications.
Experience working within facilities management or building services environments.
CSCS or equivalent qualifications (ACRIB for refrigeration) Experience in plumbing or fitting works any additional trade specific qualifications like EURS Clean Water passes etc.
