We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to carry out multi-drop pallet deliveries within our distribution network. This is a hands-on role that requires good organisation, strong communication skills, and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Offloading and reloading vehicles at the depot and at customer premises, mainly palletised deliveries.
  • Working alongside warehouse staff to ensure delivery runs are fully prepared before departure.
  • Vehicles are loaded prior to departure; drivers will unload and return pallets to the depot as required.
  • Managing busy morning operations, as trunking vehicles arrive shortly before shift start, requiring drivers to locate and identify pallets and cartons efficiently.
  • Demonstrating flexibility to undertake deliveries in other areas within the distribution zone.
  • Making deliveries to large, multi-department customer sites, often to specific floors or departments.
  • Learning delivery locations and access points may take time.
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining a clean vehicle to a professional standard.
  • Complying fully with drivers hours regulations and tachograph legislation.
  • Presenting tachograph data for analysis when requested by management or enforcement officers.
  • Providing professional and courteous customer service at all delivery locations.
  • Being flexible with start times and shift patterns to meet business needs (typically 07:00 starts).

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience in a Class 2 (C) vehicle.
  • Must have held a full UK Class 2 (C) licence for a minimum of 2 years.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
  • Clear spoken English and good communication skills, as some delivery locations may be difficult to find.
  • Articulate, numerate, and well organised.
  • Physically fit and in good health to carry out operational duties.
  • Smart and professional appearance.
  • Successful DBS check required.
