We are looking for an experienced Stock Control Assistant / Junior Stock Controller to join our expanding Warehouse and Logistics team on a temporary contract starting ASAP.

Pay: Β£12.60 per hour

About the Role

As part of the Warehouse and Logistics team, you will play a key role in ensuring that all stock items are accurately accounted for, easily located, and maintained in the right conditions. You'll support the day-to-day running of the stock control system and contribute to the smooth flow of goods through the business β€” from ingredients and components to finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily warehouse cycle counting and stock reconciliation, reporting any discrepancies to management
  • Complete weekly D2C cycle counts and reconciliations
  • Update inventory systems to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Track and balance warehouse consumables, notifying management when restocking is required
  • Conduct initial investigations into customer complaints related to stock discrepancies
  • Monitor and report on internal stock transfers, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner
  • Support the wider warehouse team with picking and packing during special promotions or busy periods
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc operational requests as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar stock control or warehouse role is essential
  • Excellent PC literacy and confidence using inventory systems
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy
