Role Overview
Working on behalf of my client, Interaction Recruitment has a great opportunity for an experienced transport planner based in the North East.
The role is Monday to Friday, typical shifts are 08:00 to 17:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage loads to agreed KPI levels.
- Ensure planned work is achievable with road transport directive and EU drivers rules & regulations.
- Liaise with customers and depots to ensure all targets and deliveries are met and ensure scheduling of work is accurate and up to date on the traffic management system.
- Vehicle management, including liaison with fleet workshop, wheel security, and monitoring of vehicle gross weights.
- Complete all administrative tasks associated with the operation to the required standard.
- Deal with daily operational problems.
Qualifications
- Experience in transport planning expected.
- Location in the North East of England.
- A CPC qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
