Transport Planner

Role Overview

Working on behalf of my client, Interaction Recruitment has a great opportunity for an experienced transport planner based in the North East.

The role is Monday to Friday, typical shifts are 08:00 to 17:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage loads to agreed KPI levels.
• Ensure planned work is achievable with road transport directive and EU drivers rules & regulations.
• Liaise with customers and depots to ensure all targets and deliveries are met and ensure scheduling of work is accurate and up to date on the traffic management system.
• Vehicle management, including liaison with fleet workshop, wheel security, and monitoring of vehicle gross weights.
• Complete all administrative tasks associated with the operation to the required standard.
• Deal with daily operational problems.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning expected.
• Location in the North East of England.
• A CPC qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
