Working on behalf of my client, Interaction Recruitment has a great opportunity for an experienced transport planner based in the North East. The role primarily is Monday - Friday. Typical shifts are 08.00 - 17:00.
Key Duties and experience for this role include:
- Plan and manage loads to agreed KPI levels.
- Ensure planned work is achievable with road transport directive and EU drivers rules & regulations.
- Liaising with customers and depots to ensure all targets and deliveries are met and to ensure that the scheduling of work is accurate and up to date on the traffic management system.
- Ensure that vehicle management, including liaison with fleet workshop wheel security, and monitoring of vehicle gross weights is undertaken and compliant.
- Ensure that all administrative tasks associated with the operation are completed to the required standard.
- Dealing with daily operational problems.
A CPC qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
