We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled CNC Miller to join an established engineering business. The successful candidate will have strong 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling experience, with the ability to set and operate machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Read and understand CNC programmes
- Adjust offsets and coordinates
- Carry out quality checks and ensure components meet specifications
- Deburr and fettle components
- Troubleshoot machine issues where required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow 5S, health & safety and company procedures
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar CNC milling role
- Strong experience with multi-axis CNC milling
- Knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and CNC programmes
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ/NCQ or equivalent
- Right to work in the UK
Shift Pattern
- 2 weeks early: Monday–Thursday 6:00am–2:30pm, Friday 6:00am–1:00pm
- 2 weeks late: Monday–Thursday 2:30pm–12:30am
- 30-minute unpaid break on each shift.
