We are supporting a high-performing secondary school in Chelmsford looking for an enthusiastic General Science Teacher to cover a maternity leave from January. This role provides an excellent opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a strong, well-resourced science faculty.
Role Overview:
- Teach General Science across KS3–KS4 following departmental schemes of work
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that foster scientific understanding
- Track and assess student progress, providing targeted support when needed
- Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and enrichment activities
- Maintain high standards for behaviour, participation, and academic progress
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching General Science at secondary level
- Confident classroom management and effective communication skills
- Passionate, motivated, and committed to student achievement
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
