Job Role: Workshop Plant Fitter Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Salary: £38,000–£42,000 base salary (OTE £45,000–£50,000+) Hours: Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 + Overtime @ 1.5x Job Type: Full-time, Permanent The Client: Interaction Technical is proud to be working in partnership with a leading plant and access equipment specialist based in Northampton. With a reputation for quality service and technical excellence, the company is expanding its workshop team and seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join their operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-equipped facility on a wide range of small and heavy plant machinery, with access equipment included. The Package: • £38,000–£42,000 base salary with average first-year earnings of £45,000–£50,000 • Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 schedule (no weekends) • Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays (including 3-day Christmas shutdown) • Annual leave paid at average hours worked • 10 days paid sick leave per annum • Pension scheme: 5% employee contribution / 9% employer contribution • Full training and development with clear progression routes • Supportive team environment with long-term career prospects The Responsibilities: • Service, maintain, and repair a variety of plant and access equipment within the workshop • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults • Conduct routine inspections and ensure equipment meets safety standards • Maintain accurate service records and documentation • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve service delivery The Requirements: • Proven experience in Plant, HGV, Automotive, or Agricultural engineering • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems • NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualifications preferred • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to high standards of workmanship For more information or to apply, contact Reegan, (phone number removed) or email
