Responsibilities:
- Management of Network Rail (client) and rail-related infrastructure to requisite performance criteria, ensuring stringent KPIs are met in line with client expectations (estimate submissions, delivery timescales, risk scores, completion packs, etc).
- Liaise with Client personnel and represent the company at Client deliverability meetings as appropriate.
- Maintain and develop client relationships based on mutual trust and high standards of contract performance in line with the company's core values.
- Undertake pre-site scoping visits to capture works requirements and enable robust planning and execution of works.
- Liaise with the commercial team to review estimate submissions and final account details, analyzing trends and reporting on day-to-day civils performance to the Project Manager to identify contractual progress of works against the programme.
- Manage allocated site teams to ensure compliance with site returns, commercial reporting, quality, and safety to drive efficiencies across the Framework and assist with timely submissions of EWNs/compensation events.
- Prepare and implement site-specific management plans to ensure site activities comply with CML Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies.
- Prepare and implement site documentation and contract plans to conform, as a minimum, to the Clients' requirements and specifications.
- Ensure robust programme management in the planning of works, capturing all required 3rd party access consents, possession/isolation submissions, traffic management requests, etc., where required to coordinate and facilitate the successful execution of works.
- Identify training needs and development potential of allocated company personnel.
- Undertake site audits and engage with allocated site teams.
- Lead and implement professional safety behaviour and culture throughout the business, promoting positive change in everyday activities.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required.
Experience & Personal Qualities:
- Experience of reactive Works Delivery Frameworks/fast-paced environment (at least 5 years).
- Civil Engineering Construction work, ideally in a railway environment (at least 5 years).
- Appreciation of Network Rail design process.
- Demonstrable line management experience.
- Demonstrable commercial experience; NEC 4 contract experience desirable.
- Demonstrable programme management experience.
Qualifications:
- Suitably qualified by experience.
- Railway Safety Training PTS essential, COSS/IWA desirable.
