I am looking for an experienced Stores Operative to work in the Stores of a busy Manufacturing company based in Wetherby. Easily commutable from Leeds, York and Harrogate, this is a mixed role and will suit someone looking for a busy, hands-on role, with lots of varying tasks. Ideally you will have worked within the Manufacturing/Engineering industries.
Day to day tasks for the successful candidate will be:
- Goods in and out
- Packing items ready for exporting across the UK and Europe
- Booking stock in and out on the system
- Generating quotations from a price list
- Stock taking and stock control
- Inspection duties, shot blasting and spraying
- Internal emails and communication
- Occasional external email communication
- General house keeping
Key skills required for the role include:
- Must have Stores and/or Despatch experience
- Computer literate for using courier portals and booking stock in
- Experience of shot blasting and spraying would be beneficial
- Possess good attention to detail
- A team player who can use their own initiative
- Capable of working unsupervised
The core working hours for this role are 37hrs per week, 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime is always available and is paid at Time + 1/3 on weekdays and Time + ½ on Saturdays. This role is advertised as Permanent from day one.
