Interaction Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Wellington, Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience who has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.

The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Working closely with Production Supervisors and Operators, you'll ensure products meet customer specifications before progressing through production and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-process and final product inspections.
  • Complete visual and dimensional inspections using measuring equipment.
  • Verify production inspections and quality checks have been completed correctly.
  • Ensure operators are following work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Check product identification, labels and packaging before dispatch.
  • Identify, segregate and report non-conforming products.
  • Assist with containment and sorting activities when required.
  • Highlight recurring quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures.

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or quality inspection environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.
