Stonemasons to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Baldock.
Both temporary and permanent opportunities are available for candidates with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with natural or engineered stone.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production team manufacturing high-quality stone products for residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Cut, shape, polish, and finish stone to customer specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
- Operate stone-cutting, polishing, and CNC machinery where required.
- Measure, mark, and prepare stone for fabrication.
- Carry out edge profiling, polishing, and finishing to a high standard.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Safely handle heavy stone materials using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Maintain machinery and tools in good working order.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Stonemason, Stone Fabricator, Mason, or similar role.
- Experience working with granite, quartz, marble, porcelain, or other natural stone products is desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.
- Good attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and stone fabrication machinery.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
