Location: Washington

We now only require you to have 6 months experience for you to be considered. Work through 2026. Unlike many HGV contracts available at this time of year, our ASDA drivers enjoy work all year round. We have part time shifts available which will include a weekend.

Shifts and pay rates as an HGV Class 1 Driver:

  • Average paid shifts are 10-13 hours per day.
  • 06:00 - 14:00: Starting rate £14.80 increasing to £16.85 after 12 weeks and £17.85 after 27 weeks.
  • 14:00 - 22:00: Starting rate £16.01 increasing to £19.19 after 12 weeks and £20.19 after 27 weeks.
  • 22:00 - 06:00: Starting rate £17.68 increasing to £20.55 after 12 weeks and £21.55 after 27 weeks.

ALL BREAKS ARE PAID. RATES INCREASE WITH SERVICE LENGTH.

Shift patterns available: Part time - will include weekend work.

Your responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver:

  • Duties include completing 1-4 deliveries to stores as required.
  • Deliveries can be either caged or palletised.
  • Completing paperwork.

About you:

  • HGV 1 C+E licence.
  • Digital tacho & DQC card.
  • Minimum 6 months experience.
  • No more than 6 points.
  • No DR, DD, CD, IN10's.
  • Be able to pass a theory and practical driving assessment.
