Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Monday & Friday, 08:30 – 17:30

Paid Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Salary: £30,000-£35,000

Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse operation based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Warehouse Assistant Manager. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient workflow, maintain high levels of accuracy, and foster a safe and productive working environment. You will play a crucial role in the customer journey, meeting our operational targets and ensuring timely delivery of goods. You will coordinate one designated area of the warehouse, while supporting, coaching and supervising the coordinators responsible for other areas.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be reliable, hard-working and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment. You must be physically fit and able to lift heavy goods, as manual handling will form a key part of the role. Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong work ethic are just as important. Previous team leader experience would be an advantage.

  • Previous warehouse, picking or packing experience would be beneficial
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work under pressure in a busy warehouse environment
  • Reliable, punctual and hard-working
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer or administrative skills would be beneficial
  • Able to follow instructions and company procedures
  • Strong team player with a can-do attitude

Desirable Skills

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own transport would be advantageous due to the location
