My client based in St Neots is currently recruiting for a Scheduler in their Operations team to join them on a full time permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Scheduler looking to join a busy and supportive transport operation.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Scheduler to coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring vehicles, drivers and resources are scheduled efficiently to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily deliveries, collections, routes and driver schedules.
  • Monitor vehicle and driver availability and respond to changes or delays.
  • Liaise with drivers, customers and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Optimise routes to maximise fleet efficiency and minimise costs.
  • Track deliveries, collections, defects and daily vehicle checks.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, records and operational documentation.
  • Support compliance with UK transport regulations and driver hours legislation.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and fleet availability.
  • Produce reports and assist the Transport Manager as required.

About You

  • Previous scheduling experience, ideally within transport, logistics or distribution.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Knowledge of UK transport regulations and driver hours legislation.
  • Able to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Reliable, proactive and customer-focused.

OLAT experience is desirable.
