Interaction Recruitment is working with a leading communications solutions provider to recruit a Radio Hire & Workshop Support team member based in St Neots. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical, hands‑on approach and an interest in two-way communications, electronics, or engineering. The role would suit an apprentice engineer or someone looking to gain valuable workshop and field experience within a busy hire operation, particularly during the peak summer period.
The Role
Once trained, you will support the radio hire and workshop function, helping to ensure equipment is prepared, tested, deployed, and returned efficiently. This is a varied, operational role requiring flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Some out-of-hours and weekend work may be required to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities (Once Trained)
- Support stores and hire administration, including checking in returned hire equipment and booking out basic hires using an internal system
- Clean, label, and test two-way radio equipment
- Assist with radio configuration and preparation when required
- Support onsite de‑installations alongside company drivers
- Load and unload company vans (manual handling and some heavy lifting involved)
- Prepare equipment for deployment, including cleaning and labelling radios
- Provide support for out‑of‑hours calls when required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
About You
