We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Long-Distance Van Driver & Fitter to join our team based in Trafford Park. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, combining driving, customer service, and hands-on workshop duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering and collecting small plant and tools to and from customer sites.
- Carrying out long-distance van driving across the North of the UK as required.
- Loading and unloading equipment safely and securely.
- Performing basic mechanical checks, cleaning, and preparing equipment for hire.
- Assisting with basic repairs and maintenance where required.
- Working in the workshop to ensure equipment is ready for customers.
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining excellent customer service at all times.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and over 25 for insurance purposes (essential).
- Experience driving vans for commercial deliveries.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with plant, tools, or similar equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
