The Catering & Hospitality team at Interaction Recruitment Northampton proudly supports more than 145 sites across Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire, delivering outstanding talent to food and beverage operations of every size. We are currently seeking an outgoing Catering Assistant / Kitchen Porter to assist in the day to day running of a commercial kitchen to be based in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas of Buckingham. Applicants must have prior catering and hospitality experience such as Catering Assistant, Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Hand, General Assistant, Commis Chef with good front of house experience.
What's in it for you?
- £12.71 to £13.00 per hour PAYE depending on experience paid every Friday
- Work as many or as little shifts as you want
- Holiday accrual at 12.07% (c.£1.53 to £1.56 per hour on top)

An example of shifts could be: 07:00-14:30 / 08:00-14:30 / 10:00-15:00 / 13:00-21:00 / 15:00-21:00 - must be flexible to work various shifts as required. You could work as much as 5 to 7 days per week.
Candidate requirements:
- Experience as a Kitchen Hand, Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, General Assistant or any front of house or back of house exposure (mandatory)
- Driver with a reliable vehicle and willing to travel c.15-45 minutes per shift (mandatory)
- Be over the age of 18 for insurance purposes (mandatory)
- Proof of address (mandatory)
- Proof of NI number (mandatory)
- Proof of UK right to work (mandatory)
- Evidence of commercial kitchen experience in the form of an up-to-date CV (mandatory)
- Excellent communicator, professional, reliable, flexible and adaptable (mandatory)
- Food hygiene and/or food safety level 2 or above certified (ideal)
- Work experience in a school, warehouse, hospital, care home or university canteen (ideal)
- Enhanced DBS (criminal record check) certificate dated within the last 3 years or part of the update service (ideal)
- Safety shoes (ideal)
