Role: Telehandler FLR Driver

Area: PE6, Cambridgeshire

Full time for a minimum of 3 months, possibly longer

We at Interaction Recruitment are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler to join our client in the PE6 area in Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers to move, lift, and place materials on a construction site. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent commercial driving skills and the ability to dig when necessary.

Responsibilities

  1. Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to transport materials across the site.
  2. Load and unload materials from lorries and other vehicles.
  3. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Assist in digging tasks as required, demonstrating versatility in job functions.
  5. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations.
  6. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  7. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Experience

  1. Proven experience operating telehandlers or similar heavy machinery is preferred.

  3. Previous experience in commercial driving is advantageous but not mandatory.
  4. A valid telehandler operator\’s licence is required.
