Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyse steel structures, steel elements, and connections.
- Produce and review detailed engineering calculations (including hand calculations).
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures, gather data, and provide engineering input.
- Collaborate with design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure the project’s success.
- Prepare technical structural reports, structural drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (Eurocodes), standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical support during fabrication and site installation phases.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in structural steel design.
- Proficiency in STAAD Pro Structural Software.
- Experience with Tekla Structures is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and connection design.
- Competent in performing manual (hand) calculations for steel structures.
- Good understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working on complex and/or large-scale steel projects.
- Familiarity with fabrication and erection processes.
- Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., ICE/IStructE).
