Are you an experienced Office Administrator with a background in transport or logistics? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established transport business based near Abingdon for a reliable and organised Office Administrator to join their friendly, close-knit team.
Please note: Due to the rural location, you'll need your own transport to commute to site.
The Role
This is a varied position where you'll play a key role in supporting the transport operation, liaising with customers, drivers and Pallet-Track depots to ensure deliveries run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers and drivers
- Answering and managing a high volume of telephone calls
- Liaising with Pallet-Track depots regarding deliveries and collections
- Monitoring customer deliveries and resolving any issues
- Producing and maintaining KPI reports
- Ensuring customer service levels are achieved
- Providing general administrative support to the transport team
What We're Looking For
- Previous administration experience within a transport or logistics environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload in a busy office
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a small team
Hours
Monday to Friday 09:00 – 19:00 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Salary & Benefits
