We’re looking for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join our growing precision engineering team. You’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high‑quality components for a range of industries. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and optimise CNC milling programs using Fanuc / Heidenhain / Siemens.
- Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components to engineering drawings.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
- Perform first-off inspections and maintain tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes for efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller and strong programming capability.
- Solid understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Competent in using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with 4‑axis or 5‑axis milling.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems.
- Background in low‑volume/high‑precision industries.
