Seeking a self-employed Site Manager who has a strong background in delivering high-end new builds. The client is based in Bournemouth and operates several projects in the Dorset and Hampshire regions.
The Role: You will be responsible for a variety of activities, including:
- Producing method statements.
- Weekly management reports.
- Monitor progress of the project in accordance with programme.
- Pre-start meetings and health and safety plans.
- Undertake a site safety induction of all new site personnel.
- Liaise with the materials controller ensuring material deliveries are in accordance with the build programme.
- The management of the work carried out by the sub-contractors.
The Person: You must have detailed building and construction experience, a CSCS card, SMSTS, and be First Aid qualified. You should be computer literate, able to read drawings, and ideally come from a trade background - Brick/Stone/Masonry would be preferred. A good eye for detail and a passion for construction are essential.
Desirable Criteria: Degree/HND/HNC in Construction or a related subject. Experience working for a developer or contractor.
