Paint Shop Assistant / Shot Blaster Deeside Industrial Park
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
Our client is a well-established family-run company with a growing order book and an excellent reputation within the industry. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Paint Prepper / Shot Blaster to join their hardworking and friendly team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing metal components and fabricated products for painting and finishing. Duties will include shot blasting, surface preparation, masking, cleaning, and ensuring all work meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing metal surfaces for painting and coating
- Operating shot blasting equipment safely and efficiently
- Cleaning, sanding, masking, and prepping fabricated components
- Inspecting finished work to ensure high-quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working effectively within a busy production team
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
About You
- Previous experience in paint preparation and/or shot blasting
- Experience working with mild steel and fabricated components
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Motivated with a positive “can do” attitude
- Good team player with strong work ethic
- Own transport preferred
- Good understanding of workplace health & safety
- Ability to maintain excellent housekeeping standards
